She loves her baby brother

And loves to give him kisses

I'm not sure that he loves it though...

He rolled over from his belly to his back a couple days ago!

Our First Day of Homeschooling!

Eloise officially started homeschool today! She's 4, so it's just preschool, but it's still the beginning of an exciting new adventure. We're using the Letter of the Week curriculum from Confessions of a Homeschooler and I really like it so far. Eloise enjoyed it and is even better at counting/numbers than I expected, so we're going to have to add something a bit more challenging in that subject.

She takes her coloring very seriously.

Beatrix did a few things with us too. She doesn't quite grasp it yet, but I figure it's good practice and she loves to do whatever he big sister is doing.

Foster was chilling in the bouncer, smiling and drooling (I'm convinced he's teething, even though he's only 2.5 months old).

Sweet, sweet boy!

Our Family

This is my first blog! Writing isn't exactly my "thing" but I wanted a way to keep a journal of our life and this seemed the easiest way to do it. Photography is my main hobby and I take a zillion pictures of my kids, so to me it makes perfect sense for this to be more pictures, less writing.

^^ That's us! We went to the local park to take some family pictures, but the girls were clearly NOT cooperating.. Sigh... Such is life. Who we are: I'm Cate, a stay-at-home-mom who loves photography. We cloth diaper, babywear, our littles have all been breastfed, we co-sleep  and just try to be as "crunchy" as we can be. We're also going to start homeschooling the girls this week!  My husband Corey is a great dad! He works as a crane operator at a stainless steel factory. Our oldest daughter Eloise is 4 and she has a mind all her own! She's stubborn, whiny, does things at her own pace, loves to sing and dance (she just started dance lessons this month!). She's a great big sister, when she wants to be. ;) Beatrix is (almost) 2 and is the sweetest little girl. She loves to help, is very independent, does her own thing, in love with her baby brother, and loves to play with her big sister. She is not a middle child that will ever be "forgotten"! Foster is the newest addition to our family, he's 10 weeks old. He is such a sweet baby, although much more needy than either of the girls ever were. He loves to be held, likes his swing, hates being out late at night, and can't stand being cold. We also have a puppy, she's a blue merle schnoodle named Hermione (yes, like in Harry Potter). The girls love her to death, I'll like her better once she's housebroke. :D  Here are a few more recent pictures:

Eloise playing with Hermione in our front yard on the night we got her. Elle isn't fond of having her picture taken, so I take what I can get...

The three of them together before church. It's a small miracle to get them all happy and looking at the camera at once, I was just happy no one was crying.

Sweet boy last week before we went to the outlet mall.

Beatrix rockin' the pj's and tutu look! Yes, she is laying by the dryer, she was "helping" me feed Hermione. She's hit and miss on the pictures, sometimes she likes it, other times she tells me to go away.

Hermione! Our little blue merle party schnoodle.

A quick shot I took of Corey while we were at a couple we went to high school withs wedding (my first "professional" photog gig!).
