Christmas 2012

November 29, 2012:

Today we put up the Christmas tree! Foster napped in the swing the whole time, which was great and so much easier. We put up the actual tree last night but we put together the train (which is a PITA) and decorated today. We got the decorations out of the shed, put lights on the tree, and then the girls had a blast hanging all of the ornaments (Daddy relocated them so they weren't all at the bottom). No pictures today, but we had fun and that's all that matters.

We also finished making a felt tree to go in the girls room today, it's pretty cute! And I put the lights up on the "housebed" (as Eloise calls it) yesterday too.

Ghee Ghee bought us an "Elf on the Shelf", so I've been looking for cute ideas of places to put him on Pinterest. I think the girls will be really excited about him, I know I am. :D


I've also made a Christmas "advent" calendar/countdown paper chain. Everyday we take off one link to countdown to Christmas. I've put a craft or something christmas-y to do on each link, so I'll be updating on that throughout the month to show what kinds of fun things we do!


December 1, 2012:

For our countdown paper chain today we did a fun little craft. We made these cute little Christmas trees, I cut out all of the pieces and the girls glued them on (they LOVE glue right now!). They were very excited to show them to Daddy when he woke up and then they hung them on the fridge all my themselves with their ABC magnets. See!:

Foster spends a lot of time on his blanket on the floor, so we upgraded him to a baby gym! We used the  money that Grandpa Donald gave him when we was born to buy it.

It even has a mobile that moves and plays music.

I think he likes it!
