Pumpkin Patch 2012

We actually made it to the pumpkin path this year while they still has pumpkins! (we went in 2010 when Beatrix was a newborn, but we went too late and they didn't have many pumpkins left) It wasn't the best weather, it was super windy, but at least it wasn't cold. We had fun anyways! We went in the barn and saw all of the animals and Eloise loved playing in the fort made out of hay bales. After that we checked out the old farmhouse that they have, which is very neat. Then we walked out to the pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins, the girls each got to pick out their very own "baby" pumpkin. After that we went on the wagon ride and got to feed the cows some corn. Before we left we picked out our big pumpkins, white ones for the boys and orange ones for the girls. We got all the way home before I realized that we got distracted and completely forgot to do the corn maze, what a disappointment!

On the 23rd we actually carved our pumpkins! This was a first for us. It took a lot longer than expected, but we all had fun. We even picked out a lot of the seeds to make pumpkin seeds with.
