Friday October 27, 2006, junior year, was the beginning of the rest of our life. We were both in prom committee (which is hilarious since neither of us is that type). Everyone on prom committee was in the cafeteria early to eat lunch before heading to General Butler State Park to decorate for the haunted trail. We were all sitting at the same table and for some reason I decided to throw a penny down this boys shirt, I scored, of course. ;) Then we all headed out to our cars to drive to the park.
Once we got to the park we all started hanging decorations and whatnot. I was "discretely" staring at his nice ass. :P And he was apparently watching me too because he came over and asked for my number. I gave it to him and then we went our separate ways again. When we were done decorating for the day we had some boxes and things to take back to the school. Brittany and I didn't have room for in our car, so we asked Corey to put them in his truck. Once we got back to school it was time to go home for the day.
I went to Wal-Mart because I had to work that night. I got a text from him, but I ignored it. :O Luckily, he was persistent and text me again and then called me. That night while I was working he came in to "buy a beanie" and hung out with me for my whole shift. We talked and joked around, just getting to know each other. I went in his truck with him when I was on my lunch break and we drove around. We ended up making-out parked in front of the high school before he took me back to work. When I got out of his truck he blurted out "I love you" and then got all shy. He left for a little bit and then came back when I got off work.
I went with him again and we drove around for a bit. Then we went back behind the fairgrounds, I had no idea where I was! He drove a Ford Expedition at the time and we climbed in the back together. ;) Yep, the very day we met, what was I thinking?! Then my mom called because it was late and I hadn't called to tell her that I had plans.
After that we were inseparable. We talked on the phone 24/7 and spent every minute possible together. That weekend we made it "official" and started dating. I had to babysit Saturday night and he was working the haunted trail but he came by to see me for a few minutes and give me a kiss. <3 We talked and texted all night long.
The next day he went to my dads house with me. I had never taken a boy over there with me, so it was a bit awkward at first, but he fit in well and we had fun. He even fell asleep on the couch (so typical of him, I just didn't know that at the time). On the way home we stopped and the Markland Dam and got in the back of his truck again (little did we know that the first 2 places would become 2 of our "usual" places). I cried, I don't know why, but luckily it didn't scare him away. I didn't want to leave him, I hated having to be away from him, even for just the night. He was perfect.
After that it was all history, we spent every possible minute together and the rest of the time was spent talking on the phone. He lived in Warsaw at the time and had no cell service, so he would have to go park down by the river just to be able to talk to me.
